Hyundai America’s Best Warranty

Hyundai has the reputation for giving the best warranty in the business. They know their cars are reliable. They have put a lot of energy into research and development to reduce the chance of defects and faulty parts, plus longer warranties attract customers.

While the industry average for a basic warranty is 3 years/ 36 miles, whichever comes first, Hyundai offers 5 years/ 60,000 miles whichever comes first. This means that if a defect occurs before 5 years or before it is driven 60,000 miles, it is replaced for free. After 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever happens first the warranty will expire.

Hyundai offers a 10 year/100,000 powertrain warranty which is the longest in the industry. This covers the engine, transmission, and drivetrain components.

Rust or corrosion in sheet metal due to defects. Excludes surface corrosion.

5 Year/Unlimited Miles – 24-Hour Roadside Assistance

12 Month/12,000 Mile – Replacement Parts and Accessories Limited Warranty
Warranty of defective workmanship under normal use and maintenance.

8 Year/80,000 Mile – Federal Emission Defect and Performance Warranty
Covers repair or replacement of the following original Hyundai major emissions control components, should they cause the vehicle to fail to conform to an applicable EPA-approved inspection/maintenance program:
Catalytic Converter
Engine Control Module
Onboard Emissions Diagnostic Device (OBD-II)
 
Other EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) emissions warranty parts are covered under the 5-Year/60,000-Mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

When you buy your Hyundai it will come with a basic warranty. You can add on to this warranty with the purchase of an extended warranty and if you buy a select used vehicle from Hyundai of Mankato, one that is less than 5 years old with less than 75,000 miles on it, you can purchase the extended powertrain warranty at time of purchase.
