Hyundai Kona Electric Named Vincentric Best Value In America

The 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric is already causing a positive charge in the world of EVs in just its first few months on sale. One thing that makes the all-new Kona stand out is that it was first developed as a platform for an electric vehicle with internal combustion engines added later. This rather genius design allows Kona not to suffer from the issue of making an EV after it has been a gas-powered car.
Vincentric Best Value Award
Thanks to the innovative development and design of the 2024 Hyundai Kona, it has received the Vincentric Best Value in America™ award in the subcompact EV category. Vincentric, LLC, is a data and analytics company out of Michigan. They provide valuable information for the ever-changing automotive industry when it comes to their unique Dynamic Cost to Own™ formula that helps buyers understand how much they can expect to spend on a vehicle’s maintenance and repairs over a number of years.
A Word From Vincentric
“The Hyundai Kona Electric had a strong performance in the 2024 Vincentric Best Value in America Awards,” said David Wurster, President, Vincentric. “It finished with the lowest maintenance and operating costs in its class, as well as the lowest fuel cost of all Subcompact SUVs. These achievements helped the Kona Electric outperform 15 competitor models and take home the win.”
Starting Price & Battery Capacity
The Kona Electric has a starting MSRP of just $32,675 and features two battery sizes for buyers to choose from. The base SE has a 48.6 kWh battery that makes 133 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque with an estimated range of 197 miles. Stepping up to the SEL and Limited models gives customers a 64.8 kWh battery with 201 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque, allowing those trims to get up to 260 miles of range. A level 3 quick charger will take the Kona Electric from 10-80% battery in 43 minutes.
Cargo Capacity
The interior is spacious for all passengers since the Kona was designed to be an EV first. The rear cargo area has 25.5. cu.ft. of storage capacity, and the front trunk allows for up to 27 liters of storage.
