It can do the SUV thing well without driving like a big SUV and can get excellent fuel economy. Buyers love that it looks great and has plenty of room without breaking the bank. Let’s look at five reasons why you should choose the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid over any other vehicle in its class.

Price

The 2024 Tucson Hybrid starts at just $32,235, with its top Limited trim coming in at $39,465. Comparing that to the Honda CR-V shows that the Hyundai comes in $1,725 cheaper base to base and $735 less when comparing the top trims. The Tucson Hybrid comes standard with all-wheel drive, while it is a $1,500 option on the Honda.

Warranty

Hyundai is well known for its warranty, and the Tucson Hybrid features a 5-year, 60,000-mile warranty, with the powertrain, battery, and other hybrid components all covered by a 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty. Once again, comparing the Tucson to the Honda CR-V Hybrid, you will only find a 3-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty, 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain, and 8-year, 100,000-mile hybrid warranty. The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has the same warranty coverage as the Honda.

Interior Quality

In recent comparisons between the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid and its main competitors, the Honda CR-V Hybrid and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, U.S. News & World Report gave the nod to the Hyundai both times, saying, “Hyundai has done more to elevate the Tucson Hybrid’s interior than Toyota did with the RAV4 Hybrid. It employs high-quality materials throughout the cabin, and the design is visually pleasing. The Tucson Hybrid also offers great ergonomics, and outward visibility is solid in all directions.”

“The Tucson gets the edge, however. It has elegant styling coupled with a sturdy build. Its sound insulation makes for a particularly quiet cabin.”

Interior Technology

The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is easily the best of the best here with its standard 10.25-inch infotainment screen, compared to the Honda CR-V Hybrid, which only has a 7-inch screen, and 8 inches for the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The Tucson also has standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, four USB ports, dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation, and Hyundai Digital Key as standard. The Digital Key allows you to use your smartphone or smartwatch to unlock and start your Tucson Hybrid. While the Toyota has wireless CarPlay and Auto, the Honda does not, and neither car has a digital key.

Performance

With a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid that produces a total of 226 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque combined with a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission, the Tucson Hybrid is more lively to drive whether you are trying to get by in the fast lane or accelerate from a stop. The RAV4 has 219 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque with a CVT, and the CR-V Hybrid has only 204 horsepower with a CVT. Neither car has the same zip as the Hyundai to give drivers confidence that they can use the engine’s power to get a jump on traffic or pass slower cars on the highway.
