Hyundai Motor Group Earns Most Combined IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ and TOP SAFETY PICK Awards

Hyundai Motor Group has consistently been making some of the best vehicles on the market for quite a while now. Now, the group is even stronger with the news that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded them 10 Top Safety Pick awards and 6 Top Safety Pick+ awards. 

What Is The IIHS?

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) was created by three different insurance companies in 1959. Over the years, it has evolved to simulating and studying car crashes, even revolutionizing the testing that new cars endure to see how good they are in the event of an accident.

Award Winning Safety

The Hyundai-specific vehicles that won the TSP+ are the Kona and IONIQ 6 EV. The Elantra, IONIQ 5 EV, Tucson, Palisade, and Santa Cruz all were rated as Top Safety Picks by the IIHS.
